Zoodles with bolognese sauce

A real “comfort food” and a very similar taste to plain pasta. Believe me when I say so because I’m someone who is really obsessed with pasta 😀

The best part of it all is that “zoodles” pasta has at least 90% less carbohydrates than plain pasta. Isn’t that awesome?

We made Zoodles using a spiral cutter or “spiralizer”. The choices of spiralizers are huge. We bought one of the cheapest version and it’s more than satisfactory.

This dish is very simple to make and also fast so we recommend it during the week … Enjoy and bon apetit!

Priprava “bolognese” omake

Ingredients(2 persons)

  • 2 middle sized tomatoes
  • 1/3 middle sized leek
  • 1 cup of uncooked red lent8i
  • 1 middle sized eggplant
  • 1 pinch of dry oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • bread crumbs
  • 2 middle sized zucchinis for the zoodles


  1. Slice the eggplant and bake in the oven on 200°C for about 30 minutes or. until it’s color starts to get brownish.
  2. Cook the lentil according to instructions on the package.
  3. Saute leeks. Set aside half of it. It will be used in “meat balls” later on.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes to the rest of the leeks and saute it.
  5. Add herbs (oregano, salt and pepper) to the tomatoes.
  6. When eggplant is baked mix it with lentil, bread crumbs and make balls. If the “dough” is not salty enough you can add more salt.
  7. Bake for half an hour on 200°C

Make the zoodles with a spiralizer of your choice and pour over the sauce… Bon appetit!
